Recognize is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Operations professional to join our team in the Vancouver, BC area.

As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our software development life cycle and ensuring the highest level of availability, reliability, and scalability of our applications. This is a work from home role for now until we hire more team members in Vancouver and open an office there. The role will continue to be part-time work from home to have a flexible schedule as that’s part of our values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure services
  • Ensure effective and efficient software delivery through continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot problems in production and non-production environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system issues
  • Develop and implement automation tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new infrastructure and architecture
  • Define and implement metrics for performance and availability monitoring
  • Maintain security and compliance standards across all systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years experience in DevOps or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Expertise in automation, scripting, and programming languages such as Ruby, Bash, JS, and Ruby
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, highly available systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
