Overview
The Marketing Director at Recognize will oversee all aspects of marketing, from demand generation to product positioning. Help start and build a marketing department for an HR tech company looking to make culture better with already 200 customers. Help us grow!
This role requires a hands-on strategist who can both design campaigns and execute them with precision. You’ll be responsible for creating scalable lead generation systems, managing content, managing webinars, and equipping the sales and customer success teams with high-quality collateral. Over time, you’ll grow the marketing function into a team that drives measurable revenue growth and elevates the Recognize brand.

Job Function: Demand Generation & Growth
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and execute a lead magnet strategy for the website (ebooks, one-pagers, calculators, worksheets, AI prompts).
- Develop a LinkedIn engagement system to boost visibility and generate leads through posts and comments.
- Manage webinar strategy, ensuring a consistent monthly cadence.
- Launch A/B tests on lead magnets, optimizing conversion rates.
- Segment email lists for prospects vs. customers, and execute regular newsletters.
- Create campaigns that consistently increase demo requests and pipeline contribution.
Standards
- Within 1 month: publish first lead magnet, launch newsletter, and manage initial webinar schedule.
- Within 3 months: demo requests increase by 50%, lead magnet library established, and webinars run 4x per month.
- Within 6 months: demo requests increase to 15 per week, website traffic on pricing and homepage doubles.
- At 12mo: Recognize’s sales have doubled and we have added two new marketing hires in product and community.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Translate Recognize’s recognition, rewards, and survey features into clear, compelling marketing assets.
- Partner with design to create one-pagers, sales sheets, and customer success collateral.
- Publish customer case studies that highlight business value and ROI.
- Keep key website pages up-to-date with the latest product capabilities and positioning.
- Support thought leadership content that positions Recognize as a trusted HR tech partner.
- Target keyword analysis supported by targeted long form articles and product marketing best practices.
Standards
- By month 3: two case studies published and product one-pagers delivered. Marketing site has increased in traffic by 15%.
- By month 6: two additional case studies published, website reflects new features, and content library expanded with keyword dense content.
- By the 12th month: 80% of targeted customers adopt new products or features. Churn has decreased by 15%. Brand value has risen drastically.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the owner of all marketing performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership to align campaigns with pipeline goals.
- Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, experiments, and ROI.
- Hire, coach, and grow a marketing team as pipeline demands increase.
Standards
- By month 6: hire a marketing teammate to take over product marketing, enabling you to focus on scaling demand generation.
- Maintain weekly reporting cadence to leadership on demos, leads, and traffic growth.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in HR tech or related industries.
- Proven success in building lead generation systems that drive measurable revenue growth.
- Strong grasp of product marketing, including positioning, collateral creation, and case studies.
- Expertise in digital channels: SEO, LinkedIn, email marketing, and webinars.
- Data-driven mindset with experience running A/B tests and analyzing funnel performance.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Experience hiring and leading marketing teammates.
